Bank of Scotland banknote anomaly.
The 1 pound banknote below the 5 pound banknote is green.
It should be ochre, like the others.
Is this an anomalous banknote?

A single scan with several similar notes for comparison. I would like any feedback anyone has to offer as to why there is a green one pound note, only ochre is mentioned. The font on the date also appears to be slightly lighter, and the width appears to be slightly less. All the others I have are ochre. I have searched for serial numbers that are previous to it, or very close to it, and had no luck. The only thing I have read is that some dyes may be altered by being washed in bleach. Perhaps a run of one pounds was made on the same machine as some 5 pounds and all the ink had not been flushed. I don't know.
But there is no mention of a 1968 Bank of Scotland one pound being green.
According to my copy of Standard Catalog of World Paper Money volume 3 10th edition, modern issues 1961 to date. (Scotland pg 713)
The 5 pound note dated 1 November 1968 is Pick # 110a green
The 1 pound notes dated 17 July 1968 are Pick # 109a ochre
The 1 pound notes dated 18 August 1969 are Pick # 109b ochre
